Fiberoptic Trans-LMA Technique (Annery @ CHOP)

- Place ETT in LMA, inflate ETT cuff. (lubricate everything super well)
- Connect ETT to a Bronch Adaptor. Ventilate via the combination (blue adaptor
swivel – ETT - LMA)
- Bronch in. May need to finagle through the ETT
- Once in, Deflate ETT. Slide ETT over bronch (remove the little ETT pointer
and disconnect from vent to slide past LMA). Meanwhile, LMA can start to
come out.
- Either keep the bronch in so the ETT slides over and through, or remove it
and use a blue football to push the ETT in.
- LMA out.
