Fiberoptic Trans-LMA Technique (Schlichter)

Have Video Laryngoscope ready as backup

1. Place LMA. Have Bronch adaptor on LMA. Ventilate via the sideport.

2. Bronch (with Aintree intubation catheter (19 F gauge) on) thru the LMA. Continue ventilation

3. Slide Aintree down (not too far though, do not main-stem since it is a large catheter)

4. Bronch out. LMA out. Aintree stays in.

5. ETT (parker flex) in over the AIntree.
