  1. Deflate LMA. Place LMA. Reinflate some amount.

  2. Occlude the gastric outlet with ultrasound jelly.

    1. Press on the trachea, which compresses the esophagus. The LMA is well seated if the ultrasound jelly demonstrates air movement, which indicates it is communicating with the esophagus.
    2. Positive pressure ventilate. No movement of gastric jelly means that it is communicating with the lungs.
  3. Pass gastric sump through gastric outlet, suction
