Trach Exchange (Airway exchange catheter)
Same as direct, but maintain airway tract with an airway exchange catheter and exchange over it. A bougie can also be used, but the AEC (green/purple long) has a soft tip. The catheter may be close to the carina, so be gentle to prevent tracheal injury.
