Nat Liu does not place LMA for patients < 10 kg, finds that if laryngospasm or something else goes awry, there may be too little reserve to intervene in time. Although LMA sizes 1 and 1.5 (for 2-5 kg and 5-10 kg, respectively) exist, use in this setting is uncommon.
