Patient arm flexed above head. Locate axillary artery. Then stay very superficial, with intent to separate out a superficial fascial plane.

Tricks

Keep needle in the superficial plane. This means going straight up and down with respect to gravity and floor. It is very easy to start going “into” the patient axilla and trunk
